I'm a mobility engineering student at the Politecnico di Milano, working at the intersection of transport planning, infrastructure design and data-driven network analysis. I build models that help cities and operators move people more efficiently, from public transport networks to construction-phase accessibility studies.
Profile
I'm currently completing my Master's Degree in Mobility Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, focusing on transportation planning, mobility infrastructures and services, and railway systems. My academic path builds on a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical curriculum) from the University of Trieste, where my thesis explored electric mobility and new urban models.
I'm currently working as an Associate Consultant in PwC's Advisory practice, applying data-driven analysis to operational performance, flow optimization, resource allocation, and cost-benefit evaluation for infrastructure and mobility projects.
Across my academic and professional experiences, I've worked with GIS, network analysis, PTV Visum, Python and R for transport modeling, demand analysis, and accessibility studies, always with the goal of translating data into practical decisions for how people and cities move.

Strategic Resource Allocation During Strikes: the Venice Navigation System Case
A network analysis of the ACTV water transport system in Venice, 16 lines and 65 aggregated piers serving around 95 million passengers a year. The project reconstructs an origin-destination matrix from partial boarding/alighting data through a quadratic optimization model, then analyzes the network at macro, micro and meso scale (degree, strength, betweenness, closeness, k-coreness and s-core centrality) to identify the most critical nodes, Ferrovia, Piazzale Roma and San Zaccaria.
The second part of the study addresses how to reallocate limited resources during strikes, comparing four strategies, a Combined Centrality Score, a Criticality Index, Commuter Flow Centrality, and a uniform reduction, for both partial frequency cuts and full line closures, while preserving lagoon-wide connectivity.
Urban Public Transport and Construction Sites — Redevelopment of Piazza dei Cinquecento, Rome
A study on pedestrian accessibility during the redevelopment of Piazza dei Cinquecento, Rome's largest intermodal hub in front of Termini station, an intervention tied to the Jubilee 2025 timeline. The project segments demand into tourists (65%) and commuters (35%), maps points of interest within a 1,200 m walking radius, and uses QGIS and OpenStreetMap to build the pedestrian network.
The four real construction phases were grouped into two analytical blocks to simulate, in PTV Visum, which pedestrian paths are disrupted at each stage. The results show that while Phase 1 has only a minor impact, Phase 2 blocks 8.3% of paths and increases average walking time from 5.7 to 10.6 minutes, with the largest delays for universities, schools, offices and museums.
Transport Decarbonization Policy in the Lombardy Region
An assessment of decarbonization strategies for the Lombardy regional transport system. The work involved analyzing mobility demand, segmenting the territory into urban, suburban and rural areas, and building future scenarios based on the evolution of the vehicle fleet and infrastructure investments. PTV Visum simulations were used to evaluate the effects of sustainable mobility policies on regional emissions and traffic flows.
Feasibility Study of Alternative Energy Solutions for a Railway Line in France
A feasibility study for the decarbonization of the Clermont-Ferrand–Brioude railway line in France. The project compared different traction technologies, conventional diesel, biodiesel, battery trains and hydrogen systems, assessing their technical performance, environmental impact and economic sustainability. The analysis considered energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, operating costs and infrastructure implications to support the transition toward low-emission rail systems.
Olbia–Abbasanta Railway Line
A complete planning and design project for a new railway line connecting Olbia and Abbasanta, aimed at improving connectivity between Sardinia's inland areas and its north-eastern coast. The work included track alignment, station design, dynamic simulation of the rolling stock, comfort and vibration analysis, environmental assessment of emissions, signalling system design, and an economic-financial evaluation of the investment, with particular attention to the impact on tourism and the reduction of private transport dependency.
Olympic Games 2026: New Integrated and Sustainable Connections from Milan to Livigno
A project developed ahead of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, aiming to improve accessibility to Bormio and Livigno through an integrated sustainable mobility system. The proposal includes extending the railway line to Bormio, creating multimodal mobility hubs, and integrating electric buses and eVTOL aircraft for the final connections to Livigno. The study assessed the technical, operational and environmental aspects of the infrastructure, highlighting its potential to encourage modal shift and reduce emissions in alpine territories.
Design of Urban Bus Network in Belluno Municipality
A complete design of a new urban public transport network for the Municipality of Belluno, starting from the analysis of the main demand corridors and trip attractors in the city, such as the hospital, the railway station and the main residential areas. The project defined eight bus lines, simulating different operational models based on headway and on timetable design, in addition to evaluating an innovative scenario with Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services. The analysis was completed with an economic study to verify the operational sustainability of the system and identify the most efficient solution in terms of service level, fleet utilization and operating costs.
